UPDATE ON THE MISSING MALAYSIAN HIKERS AT MOUNT DAMARVAND
With regard to news carried by Mizan News of Iran, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirms that remains were found by the Search and Rescue (SAR) team while searching for the two (2) missing Malaysian hiker at Mount Damarvand, Iran.
The remains will be brought down from the mountain and then to be identified, before any further confirmation can be made.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, through the Embassy of Malaysia in Iran is in close contact with local authorities to assist on identification process and will update accordingly.
