At the invitation of the Open University of Malaysia (OUM), the Charge d' Affaires (CDA) of the Embassy of Malaysia in Zimbabwe paid a visit to Zambia from 4-5 June 2012 to witness the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Agreements (MoAs) by Professor Emeritus Tan Sri Anuwar Ali, President of the OUM, Professor Dickson Mwansa, Vice Chancellor of the Zambian Open University (ZAOU) and Mr Steve S Mwafulilwa, Board Chairman of NIEC School of Business Management Trust of Zambia which was held on 4 June 2012 at Zambia Development Agency (ZDA) in Lusaka, Zambia.
In conjunction with the signing ceremony, CDA took the opportunity to discuss ways to enhance bilateral political and trade relations by calling on senior officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Tourism of the Republic of Zambia including the Head of Bilateral Department (Political) and the Acting Chief of Protocol. The CDA also call on the Acting Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce, Trade and Industry of the Republic of Zambia and Director of Investment Promotion and Privatisation before meeting with the President of the Zambian Association of Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ZACCI).
The visit has very much help to enhance bilateral interactions and cooperation between Malaysia and Zambia.
