WILDFIRE IN CALIFORNIA
Wildfires were reported in the Northern and Southern part of California on Sunday night, 8 October 2017. To date, 10 people have been reported dead and 100 others were treated for fire-related injuries. More than 20,000 residents have been evacuated.
Three Malaysian families are reported safe and have been evacuated by local authorities. No injuries have been reported.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs conveys its sympathies to the victims of this incident.
