AUTHENTICATION OF OFFICIAL SEALS ON DOCUMENTS DRAWN UP IN MALAYSIA FOR USE IN UAE:
The authentication given by the Embassy of Malaysia in Abu Dhabi does not in any way confirm the authenticity of the documents and/or the correctness of its contents. The authentication is only to legalise the usage of the documents in United Arab Emirates (UAE). The authenticity and accuracy of the contents of the document should be checked with the organisation/authority that issued the documents.
Application Requirements:
- Applications can be done at the Embassy in person either by the applicant or a proxy. Applications through a proxy must be accompanied with a Power of Attorney.
- Documents that need to be authenticated must be in Bahasa Malaysia or English.
- Documents must be first authenticated by the Consular Officer of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Malaysia.
Required Documents:
- Documents that need to be authenticated; and
- Passport;
- Malaysian identity card (applicable to Malaysian citizens only); or
- Power of Attorney and proxy’s identification document that is mentioned in the Power of Attorney such as passport, national identity card or driving license (if application is made at the Embassy through a proxy).
Fee: AED 25.00 per attestation.
