On 24 January 2025, Malawakil Kunming in cooperation with PERWAKILAN Kunming participated at the 2025 Spring Festival Networking Event for Consular Missions and International Friends in Yunnan organized by Yunnan Foreign Affairs Office.
The event was participated by all Consulate General of other countries in Kunming (Bangladesh, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, and Vietnam), international organisations and higher education institutes. The high level officials from Yunnan include HE Xu Hao, Member of the Leading Party Members’ Group, People’s Government of Yunnan Province; HE Shen Qi, Deputy Secretary - General, People’s Government of Yunnan Province; Mr. Yang Shaocheng, Director-General, Foreign Affairs Office of Yunnan Province and officials from other government departments of People’s Government of Yunnan Province.
During the event, Malawakil Kunming prepared Yee-Sang, as part of promoting of Malaysian Chinese culture to the attendees. Malawakil HBS also wore PERWAKILAN Batik to showcase Malaysia’s batik as well. The event also included performances by the Consulate General offices as well as officials from other entities.
