On Friday, 30th August 2019, at the invitation of the Foreign Affairs office (FAO) of Yunnan Government, Mr. Faizal Shani, Consul General of Malaysia to Kunming attended the opening ceremony of the China-Yunnan Pilot Free Trade Zone (FTZ) which was held at the Comprehensive Service Center of Kunming, Yunnan Province. More than 100 invitees including all the ASEAN Consul Generals in Kunming were present at the said opening ceremony that officiated by the Party Secretary of Yunnan CPC Committee, Mr Chen Hoa.
