The dinner reception hosted by the Director General (DG) of the Foreign Affairs Office (FAO) of the Yunnan Government took place on 17 July 2023 in Kunming, the capital city of Yunnan Province.
During the dinner reception, Madam Yang Mu informed that she thankful and much appreciative of the support given by the Consulate in making as well as promoting meaningful cooperation between China-Yunnan- Malaysia that is not only confined to the traditional economic connectivity by also specific dimensions of tourism, education, arts, and culture as well as people to people contact.
She explained that the various integration platform such as the Malaysia-Yunnan Higher Education Dialogue, Food and Cultural Festival, and Malaysia-Kunming Pavilion @ Dianchi not only serve as a window for a closer-communication but importantly as a medium for both sides to promote while sharing new ideas of partnership that having such outcomes to be reviewed shortly as it carries both, short and long term agenda.
She also acknowledged the Consulate's contributions since the position of the Dean of the Diplomatic Corps in Yunnan was carried out by the CG of Malaysia. On many occasions, it was noted that not only having the said participation but also the readiness to talk or deliver a speech on behalf of all the Diplomats in Yunnan.
She took the opportunity to extend on behalf of the FAO of Yunnan Government best wishes for all support that has been rendered during the tenure of nearly 4 years 5 months in Kunming as the Consul General of Malaysia to Kunming, Yunnan, PRC.
