VISIT BY YBHG DATUK CHAIRMAN OF TOURISM MALAYSIA TO KUNMING FOR MICA 2019 ROAD SHOW FROM 8-10 APRIL 2019
On 9 April 2019, Y.Bhg Datuk Ahmad Shah Hussein Tambakau, Chairman of Tourism Malaysia who was scheduled to participate in the Malaysia Inbound Chinese Association (MICA) Road Show (Kunming & Guiyang) from 8th until 14th April 2019, took a time to visit the Consulate General of Malaysia in Kunming.
YBhg. Datuk Chaiman who was accompanied by Mrs. Sharon Ho, Director of Tourism Malaysia (Southern China) and Mr Radzlan Shah Ramlan, Special Officer to the Chairman were received and welcomed by the Consul General, Mr. Faizal Shani and other Officers.
A briefing on overview of the Southern China Market was delivered by the Director of Tourism Malaysia to YBhg. Datuk and the Consul General that touched on the latest information on Southern China market including strategies to further promote Malaysia as a tourist destination.
Prior to that, on the night of arrival, 8 April 2019, the Consul General took the honour to host a welcome dinner for Y.Bhg Datuk and his delegation at Rumah Malaysia, located at the Dianci Wee Cheng. Other Malaysian who were invited during the dinner were Mr. Albert, General Manager of Crown Plaza and officials from the Consulate General office.
YBhg Datuk Chairman also hosted a thank dinner for the MICA delegation as well the special guests from Kunming at the Hai Wan No 9 Restaurant on 9 April 2019.
At the dinner, Mr Faizal Shani, the Consul General delivered a short speech indicating the readiness of the Consulate General Office to collaborate further in ensuring the Visit Malaysia Year 2020 as a successful event by promoting Malaysia as a favorite tourism destination.
