Madam Catherina Cherian, wife of the Ambassador of Malaysia, hosted the Asian Ladies Circle Luncheon at the Official Residence on 27 January 2012. The Asian Ladies Circle of Havana, Cuba comprises of wives of the Asian Heads of Mission, lady officers and wives of Asian diplomats and other Asian ladies residing in Havana. A video presentation on "Orang Utan Sanctuary in Sepilok, Sabah" was shown to the ladies during the event, where a brief ceremony was held to hand over the Chairmanship of the Asian Ladies Circle of Havana from the wife of the Ambassador of India to Madam Catherina Cherian. The members of the Asian Ladies Circle of Havana meet once a month to socialise, interact and to participate in activities organised by the International Women's Group of Havana.
