WORKING VISIT OF MINISTER OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS OF MALAYSIA
DATO’ SRI ANIFAH HJ. AMAN TO THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia, Dato’ Sri Anifah Hj. Aman undertook a working visit to the United States of America (U.S.) from 25 to 26 March 2018.
During the visit the Foreign Minister met with the Deputy Secretary of State of the U.S. Department of State, Mr. John J. Sullivan. At the meeting, both leaders took stock of the progress of the on-going bilateral cooperation between Malaysia and the U.S. and exchanged views on regional and international issues of mutual concern.
The visit is also a follow-up to the Prime Minister Dato’ Sri Mohd Najib Tun Abdul Razak’s trip to the U.S. last year and provided the opportunity for both sides to explore ways to further strengthen the existing cooperation between the two countries. Beginning 1 April 2018, Mr. Sullivan will serve as the Acting United States Secretary of State, following Mr. Rex Tillerson’s departure.
