The Expert Working Group Meeting on the Heart of Borneo (HoB) Initiative was held on 9-10 February 2026 in Sandakan, Sabah. The Meeting was chaired by Mr. Siva Kumar A/L Solay Rajah, Undersecretary of the Biodiversity and Forestry Management Division, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability (NRES).
The Meeting was attended by representatives from the state and federal agencies. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia was represented by Ms. Clara Soon May Lynn, Director of Sabah Regional Office.
